Maggie Hofman

Pilates Teacher

Maggie's exploration into Pilates began in 2004 when she signed up for her first Pilates Mat class. She expanded her personal Pilates practice by taking Pilates Equipment classes and saw how the benefits of specialized Pilates equipment could help her achieve her fitness goals in ways that other movement modalities had not been able to. The next step in her Pilates journey was clear; she went on to train in the Pilates method and became a Certified Pilates teacher in 2005.

Maggie is passionate about helping people reduce pain in their bodies and move with confidence in their daily activities. She knows that Pilates can play a fundamental role in retraining the body's movement patterns and allow for a more mindful connection when it comes to any physical activity. Maggie's thoughtful and compassionate approach to teaching Pilates has allowed her clients to not only regain control of their bodies but she has seen first-hand how clients feel invigorated and empowered when they are given the right tools to reclaim agency in their own lives.

Maggie has continued her formal Pilates training with Balanced Body University, a globally accredited Pilates education program. She has completed the Comprehensive Teacher Training program and is preparing for her final test-out. She is very excited to be able to integrate a self-care method known as MELT into her practice as a Pilates teacher. Maggie is a certified MELT Hand and Foot Therapy teacher. She has pursued her interests in movement and physiology through a variety of certifications offered through the Fascia Hub and Anatomy Trains which both offer professional development courses for manual therapists and movement practitioners.
